Van Eck have certainly been making changes to their holdings this week, but have not included the purchase of any AVZ in Mondays update. If they are trading all their other companies for the rebalance I don't see any reason why they would not accumulate AVZ prior to CSPA on the 17th but as you say they may also have agreements already in place with others. 30m more shares traded yesterday than Monday and I would expect Van Eck may also prefer buying at todays prices rather than yesterdays. It will be interesting to see if they have their quote before CSPA on the 17th . Time will tell.
