The reason for the delay in issuing the ML is AVZ need to resubmit a revised DFS to the government because CATL want AVZ to supply them with 5x their original amount.
My suggestion to the US is stop worrying about what everybody else is doing and focus on your own economy and building wealth for your own people. Leave the China, the Middle East, Afghanistan, Russia and North Korea alone.

Well, I don’t think that there’s any dispute about the fact that the US has been a second rate player in securing critical resources. Not only cobalt in DRC. A similar story is playing out with lithium in Argentina, and there are probably other similar resourcestories unfolding daily on a micro and macro basis. China is eating our collective lunch, and it’s a fascinating sight!

I think that the US wants to up its game, but it’s hobbled by ESG and integrity concerns that impose a pretty significant disadvantage relative to China.
