I should add FMG were paying abt $1.40 per share divvie last year, fully franked too.....imagine even 50 cents a share divvie on AVZ a few yrs down the track. Say you had 1mill shares now and you sold them all, you'd either be paying up to $400k tax if held for under a yr or about $200k tax if held for over a year, therefore $600k or $800k in your pocket(all depends on your buy in price of course), where as if held all until divvies and the divvie was 50cents ps fully franked you could make that same money in no time at all and get to keep your shares, even if we knew it would turn out to be 20cent divvies it would still be worth keeping all your shares....just my shitty opinion of course
