You cannot lose something you do not own, AVZ did not lose 15%, because they did not own that 15%.
Cominiere, which is 90% owned by the DRC government owned that 15%.

So who actually lost out big time at this stage is the DRC Government, as 15% of Manono thought to be worth US$150 million dollars, was sold without knowledge of the DRC government, minus one corrupt minister to a Chinese State Company for US$33.4 million.

If you believe the DRC Government will allow this to continue, I believe you better think twice.

Even for the Chinese there is much more at play than a shonky US$116 million dollars.

At the end of the day there is nothing to stop the DRC to tell the Chinese state companies to take a hike for inciting corruption in the DRC.
