Those going on and on about AVZ being the only mining company on The Battery Minerals Council.
Naivety at its best.
The council is set up to evaluate all the opportunities and steps forward to enable the project to take off.
Who is all involved at this early stage? The key participants included representatives of Zambia, Tanzania, and Morocco, the UN Economic Commission for Africa, the African Union Commission, and Afreximbank.
Battery minerals refer to minerals used in rechargeable batteries. This includes lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite, manganese, alumina, tin, tantalum, magnesium, and vanadium.
Consider the many mining houses that will be supplying the above Battery Minerals. Are they on the council? No. Why Not? Because they are in the early stage of the development program. And not just from the DRC.
The fact AVZ was invited, was a feather in their cap. However, there will be many miners and mineral suppliers coming on board.
There is no doubt that the AVZ project will be successful. But will they be the only Lithium and Tin suppliers to the plant building batteries?
How many licenses are out there for Lithium, Tin, Cobalt, Copper etc etc
