Skorplan, you raise very valid points. It's too easy to criticise everything Chinese but I have done a bit of due diligence on CATL (50% owner of CATH) & can report they're a very ethical company & play it by the rules. I'm more than happy for us to be aligned with a straight shooting Chinese company with deep pockets. In contrast, Zijin, while a miner with deep pockets, has one of the worst human rights records in the world which has been well documented. I can understand the local opposition in DRC against them. They haven't covered themselves with glory. But if they win the day then the DRC will continue to be one of the poorest nations on earth.
