In the video clip above, Carrick, an accountant, says:
~1:28 "this is not a hostile situation"
~1:46 "we are not seeking a removal of any shareholder"
....while MMGA site says:
....and this is how MMGA advises AVZ shareholders to vote:
Then these two talk about AVZ already being delisted, around 7:24 Carrick says "the Company is not dealing with the central issue of the harmonious relationship". Couldn't listen to this guy's BS for more than ~8 minutes....
Carrick, get this into your head:Nigel and other members have always had a lot at stake - they have put years of hard work into the Manono project, own large holdings (Nigel ~51mil?), they have been bending themselves backwards to make it work but to no avail because the Congolese, having realised how much Manono was worth, decided to play dirty and steal it from us.
This has nothing to do with the lack of 'harmonious relationship' - DRC's Mom, MoP, Felix and plenty others and very corrupt.
Mining in the DRC is a very very dirty business and they all steal / take kickbacks / get family members on boards / seek favours / etc.
This is the norm, this is how it's done over there.
Also, you should give AVZ due credit - they've been operating for many years in a very $hitty country like the DRC where brown bags are expected, and have managed to bring Manono from nothing to where it was (without brown bags) until the MoM started playing her games. And, most of these years was under Joseph Kabila who, together with his sister and other family members, had stolen hunderds of millions from the state.
So, how can you say that AVZ need a better skill set?
You have better skills?
Lastly, have a look at this crew below, do you think, of all people, they need you with your skills?
OK, enough of AVZ for today, need to check now what that psychopath Netanyahu and his extreme-right religous crazy friends are up to...
