Yes clearly Zijin and Cominiere's corruption is primarily to blame, along with the influence of those DRC political figures that have been enalaved to those outside interests, as you say. IMO there is likely other factors also that contributed to the souring of the relationship, but that's a conversation for another time depending on how things play out.
But as to your point, have you read the strongly-worded letter that we sent the MoM after the cancellation of the PE? I believe we were totally correct in all of our assertions therein as the cancellation was clearly unlawful, but at that point don't you think it was a stretch to buy into the comments that we maintained a solid and positive relationship with the DRC authorities? At the very least this was an exaggeration
