if it walks like a duck its probably a duck. !
DLA Piper is a world class law firm and they don't come cheap, they have a litigation arm but no interest from them to fund AVZ.
No other "No Win No Pay" Lit funders have shown any inclination to take on AVZ despite potential mooted payouts of $10b or more.
The only one who supposedly was interested in funding a relative modest amount of $20m was Locke, an obscure company with no track record in this type of funding or visible internet footprint - 9 months on still nothing from them because they want the loan secured against an acceptable tangible asset that presumably doesn't exist .
No update on how much has gone missing from the $20m in the DRC legal firms escrow account.
A letter from Nigel posted on this forum and twitter that was branded a fake because it looked desperate and amateurish that was actually real, with follow up phone calls that have subsequently managed to convince a small number of the larger holders to buy 1400 Con Notes at $1000 each raising a modest $1.4m, enough to keep the lights on pay rent and wages for a bit longer but no where near enough to keep the legal fight going any distance.
Tethyan copper spent nearly $60m USD and it took 10years to run the full legal gauntlet and as far as I am aware two years after the final order they are still waiting for the cash from Pakistan a country with far greater ability to pay up than the DRC
The Tethyan V Pakistan timeline.
