The Minister of Mines highlighted the strengths of the mining sector, as well as the many opportunities available to Chinese investors, while explaining the facilitation and support mechanisms put in place by the government to encourage mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries.

" The mineral resources of the DRC are, for the most part, underexploited or unexploited.
This reality has led the government, through the Ministry of Mines, to adopt a development strategy based on three approaches: the discovery of new deposits, adding value to marketable mining products, and promoting investment in basic infrastructure ," he stressed.

This bilateral meeting between the Minister of Mines of the DRC and Chinese investors was organized on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which constitutes a framework for discussion for greater economic cooperation between China and Africa.
