The FIRB can’t help Temple, it’s outside their jurisdiction.
The FIRB would be all over it if someone tried to buy AVZ shares, but the DRC and Chinese conspiring to wipe the company out? From the FIRB’s point of view, that’s perfectly fine, since it’s happening outside Australia, it’s not their concern!. Bit sad really but that’s the way it is.
It’s been clear for a while that we’re on our own here. Some posters say the whole world is watching, but I doubt anyone is watching. How much would anyone on this forum care about the state of the DRC people or corruption running rampant if they didn’t have their money on the line? Sad to say, but not at all, right? Well, that’s how much everyone else cares about our situation. We’re on our own, with our new shareholder advocate, and no one else gives a toss.
The DRC has been a high-risk area for ages, with more than 30 mining companies losing their licenses last year alone. The idea that everyone is keeping an eye on what happens with the AVZ outcome is unlikely. The volatile jurisdiction didn’t stop AVZ from giving it a crack, and what happens to us won’t really scare off future fortune hunters.
At the end of the day, greed often pushes people to take risks, no matter the consequences.
Isn't that how we all ended up here?
