No doubt our esteemed US ambassador Krudd will be working feverishly on our behalf, using his deep contacts to open doors to the Trump administration.

But seriously, Trump may consider that by virtue of AVZ's stake in Manono, the US already has a foot in the door if he decides it's of sufficient strategic importance to thwart Chinese ambitious.

Yet Trump's bigger picture emerging as he pivots to adjust to an inevitable multi-polarity world dominated by China, the US and Russia, in that order, may see Taiwan and assets like Manono become bargaining chips as he seeks to mitigate China's march. IMO.
