I should add the onus is not on AVZ to finalise a potential deal with KoBold & possibly RIO. It's up to them & other stakeholders, including the DRC Govt, to reach an acceptable agreement if that's the course of action they wish to pursue. If the Americans desperately want access to Manono, either in full or in part (with Zijin a player in the north) then it's up to them to sort out an agreement asap which compensates us. As an AVZ shareholder I'd like to see us out of the DRC & sooner than later. But until we have an acceptable compensation offer, the company's only course of action is to continue with the court case however long it takes. I kinda wonder if Felix's $US8 billion of frozen assets might form part of AVZ's compensation & exit plan.
