Logically you are correct.
I am not going to make predictions on where this sp will reach, however what I would like to see happen (and this is entirely my opinion) is for the Company to announce it has received three low-ball TO offers over the last few months at say 18c, 20c and 25c per share and they have all been rejected. This should immediately re-rate our sp to around those prices.
We then have a far higher base platform to work from with other interested parties and to help realise the potential worth of this resource. As further offers are made, the Company should also announce them as being rejected and we go through the same process again increasing our sp along the way.
Huayou should be more than happy exercising their options prior to expiry in May, as either way they will still make a motza with the amount of shares they own.
There is no doubt in my mind that the potential suitors are not all Chinese, so don’t be surprised as to what may transpire with AVZ over the coming months.
