Some 'unofficial' news out of the DRC this morning. If the below account is true and President did indeed visit Manono last week, then I'd opine that he wanted to see & hear for himself the real situation at Manono prior to providing a possible presidential order for an ML (for the entirety of PR13359?) to be awarded to Dathcom.

With some clarity from Marius Mihigo plus an election looming, I have a feeling he is close to providing a decision one way or another.

And FWIW, the COO from Cominiere has just dug his own grave IMO by misleading the DRC Govt and stamping it with public comments made via a recent TV interview.

The way I look at it:
MoM send a 3 member technical team to report on the site conditions .last year.
IGF looked at the finances and other documents regarding Dathcom.
President sent his own people to gauge the grassroot political support. This is not required for general mining project, but this project is special.
All ticked for AVZ. Now, he can over ride any objection from others.
Hopefully, this is the last extension.
