    Revisiting the Chinese contract: Félix Tshisekedi presides over the signing of the 5th amendment which allows the DRC to have $7 billion for the construction of 6,000 km of roads

    The Head of State Félix Tshisekedi chaired this Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Kinshasa, the signing ceremony of the revisited mining contract with the Group of Chinese Companies (GEC).
    This is the 5th amendment to the collaboration agreement concluded in April 2008. Which amendment allows the DRC to have 7 billion USD to build 6,000 km of roads in 15 years in the DRC at a rate of 400 km per year.
    Construction work will be launched in a month in Kinshasa in Greater Equateur, Kasaï-Oriental, Haut-Lomami and Lualaba.
