yeah I was watching bloomberg this morning and an interesting comment was made by some fund manager, that markets need to start moving away from those bloated poor performing companies (high hope tech companies etc) and that now is the time to start looking for strength. Good days/weeks are helpful in that they (at this point in the cycle) begin to sort out the dead wood from the healthy. Good investments should be green or holding price whereas the chaff will give stagnant signals.
Positive Relative Strength vs the indices is a quick way to scan for areas of interest and gauge where the market is moving to. Energy is still the dominate theme.
