    not so much a matter of complaining about the declining sp but the underlying reason

    all chip manufacturers are trying to understand the positional shift and the impacts to bottom lines
    the tariff/tax exemption only applies to certain types of advanced chips - et al tsmc - and excludes servers, embedded systems, artificial intelligence equipment and essential manufacturing equipment like production tools and advanced lithography machines - these will all be subject to 20 - 24% tariff/taxes
    the value chain will be hit hard - fair value can only be found in a stable market - this is far from that

    case in point ( and there are many )
    Taiwan is a major supplier of chips and servers to the US market - only 10% of those exports will benefit from the exemption with the majority incurring a 32% tax increase ( servers particularly)

    plenty to wash through the sector yet before any sort of stability returns imo
    interesting to see where it goes

    worth digging in to see the picture as it unfolds
