If I was a Tier 1 looking at WBT"s ReRam as a viable NVM alternative I would certainly push hard to make sure I was on a position to to get a piece of the pie and not wait while someone gets a first mover advantage. At the very least I will want to have some binding link with WBT, so as not to be too far behind while WBT are growing.
Might even help them on the way with some serious funding, say$100mill (peanuts to me) which would also give me some leverage in case someone else makes a play for them
Feel I the competition to get a seat at WBT"s table is just heating up
