hi @Tong .. one of the failings of retail investors is the emotions that go with an upwardly trending stock. there is that thought . . gee, i could have bought this for $4 just 4 weeks ago . . it is now $6.50 . . darn it . . i will wait until it falls back (closer to the price that my emotions tell me i should have bought it at). there is no logic to the decision, and it is purely emotions that are driving the decision
meanwhile, the institutions and savvy investors are seeing the upwards trajectory and just keep on buying . . they see the upward momentum as a positive and opportunity that validates their investing decision versus a 'i missed out' reaction.
