yep. People around here generally freak out when they see these small trades, demand it be banned, and miss the bigger picture.
Blaming 'brokers' doesn't make sense to me. Several brokers I use have buy/sell algos which operate outside of the classic stop/limit buy sell options you find on most generic easy access brokers. It's the user that initiates the program though - not the brokers.
Brokers that serve retail do not offer dark pool liquidity services (to my knowledge). Brokers collect service fees - their priority is to get you trading. They have little interest in your success or demise.
