After Tesla's first stock split of 5 to 1 in Aug 2020 the price was up over 100% in 6 months. And then gained another 75 % in the next 10 months. Stock splits bring the price down to more affordable levels to increase liquidity and increases the company's exposure to new investors that had put it in the too expensive basket. These investors bring fresh cash to the table and are looking for an increase in SP just like we are!! Think of it like this, even under the right circumstances it is hard to go from $100 a share to $200 a shar, but it's easier to go from $5 to $10!! do they always go up? No So the company would have to do it for the right reasons and get the timing right!!
