i have very little technical understanding of charting etc. But in a general sense can we say that, while most who go long are looking to identify and exploit the lows of a trading range, those who short are trying to pick and exploit the top?
If correct, is it also the case that for most stocks it is statistically easier to pick the top than the bottom? Which may explain some trader's predisposition towards shorting?
Personally i would not be trying to guess the top of this trading range until it is more settled, as WBT is a different beast to other companies, in that its re rates are related to being at the early stages of its business cycle.
I may have got this entirely wrong and readily admit i dont know about these things, and just trying to learn,so feel free to set me straight.
