Hi Benjy, I have been told by my accountant that it's 1st in 1st out and you have not choice unless you have a separate account for trading. I made a lot of trades last financial year and the ATO classed me as a trader even though it wasnt my main source of income but the tax was still worked out on the 1st in 1st out.
Thats just been my experience anyway.
