Morris Chang founded TSMC in 1987. Richard Chang founded SMIC in 2000. Both are amply covered in Chris's book and in Wikipedia and have had very interesting careers. Those involved in chip fabrication today are certainly standing on the shoulders of giants in the sphere's of both technology and business.
I can find no reference to Richard being president of Taiwan's Worldwide Semiconductor Corp, but it could be a renaming of a company founded by Richard in Taiwan in 1998 called Shida Semiconductor. That company was bought out by TSMC in 2000. Richard then left and moved to China and founded SMIC in Shanghai which he reportedly modelled on TSMC.
