I certainly wouldn't be cheering just yet, shorters will often accumulate as they short the stock, so once they've had their shorting fill and closed their positions, they let the SP run again before opening more short positions. That way they make money whether the SP goes up or down. Unfortunately it's just the way the ASX works. I certainly wouldn't rule out another dump as more short positions open.
Just ride the tide and accumulate when shorts get a hold again, I certainly will be.
