I never set an automatic stop loss, got burnt too many times
Instead I have a stop that I compare the closing price to, if it has hit I still have to wait till he next day. Im still below the stop then I sell.
Since starting this 6 months ago I have had two trades that I sold way below the stop, in most cases they bounced and I held on.
