Hi Benny,
I am a long term holder like you, and like you I get frustrated with the big downs (not so much the big ups). But just like a car changing gear when you put the clutch in you lose power until you get it into gear and let the clutch out. Similar with WBT. We are changing from R&D to commercialisation. The clutch has been in longer than we would have liked, but soon they will find the gear they are looking for and we will be off.
I know you have been in this stock a long time as I have seen you posting on it regularly. My advice would be to try not to let the big short term movements cloud your judgement. On 31 December 2022 we closed at $3.25. So for the price at around $5, that is a very healthy return in under 8 months. If you become too focused on how high we got, expecting that to be the norm, it is easy to be disheartened and feeling like you have made a bad decision. But if you spoke to yourself in December and said would you be happy if you were at $5 in August, I bet you would have said yes.
WBT is a stock that messes with me this way. A fair bit of last year I was thinking why didn't I sell at $4 when i had the chance. This year I have been thinking why didn't I sell at $9 when I had the chance. Hopefully next year I will be thinking why didn't I sell at $20 when I had the chance. I see too much upside to actually sell, but it doesn't stop those thoughts creeping in. Its taken me 20 years of chasing the peaks and troughs of different shares to realise, that the only way I can make money out of the market is to do nothing and the easiest way to do nothing is to not be consumed with short term fluctuations. A look back 12 months every now and then tends to provide a good grounding. On 15/8/2022 we closed at $2.80, so not doing too bad today.
Anyway, just thought I would share that, as I know you have been around a while and would love for you to continue the journey we are on.
Cheers
