What I think is that Coby has come to the conclusion via the feedback he is obviously getting from some of the biggest companies on the planet who should soon be our customers that WBT is not only the leader in ReRam, nobody is even close from a technical standpoint.
He is totally confident in the large moat they have built with Leti and the required expertise needed by anyone that tries to develop ReRam.
I have tried for yrs to educate holders on disruption. We still have people quoting linear analysis as to the size of the NVM market and doing meaningless comparisons to niche TV product. ReRam will be in every electronic product in 10 yrs. Coby is loath to put that silly analysis in as he is very conversant that ReRam will disrupt Flash in both Embedded and Discrete totally over time.
The graph on the left is the one to study. That is the start of the S curve of disruption, Coby called it the hockey stick today. He references 2026 as when the big revenue starts and k
nows it is going to accerlerate each yr after that.People think from the chart on the right that NVM embedded is $3 bill in 2028 as if that's it. Well the above chart shows the Embedded Potential Market which is largely all flash atm. In 2022 that is $250bill. Once the selector is achieved, who's going to bet against them, then discrete is able to be disrupted. That's another $130bill in 2022.
Coby is well aware how big this can be, he is not able to say it in public as a reputable company executive.
With so many new holders it can be hard to understand just what a disruption is. That's why I urge holders to hunt down Toni Seba and educate yourself as to how disruption works and how quickly it happens particularly in tech. Like the smart phone market being orders of magnitude bigger than the replaced mobile phone market, ReRam once it replaces flash memory will create a market that is orders of magnitude bigger.
Coby is excited as he knows WBT are in first place in this disruption and there will be only a few winners and to the winners go the spoils. While he can say none of this it is very clear he understands the position WBT is in and knows its future is now all but assured.
That is what I am seeing.
