I had been resigned to accepting that shorting will be around the next 12 months or more given the timelines presented. So accumulate, maybe the odd trade etc.
Then I thought of Coby's reply to a question about how we stop shorting going on. His reply was along the lines of 'good announcements'. Fair enough.
I think one good announcement like Samsung will force a spike in SP but then it will slip back to the usual fun and games. A second and third announcement of a huge company might well stop the shorters in their tracks a lot earlier than first thought. Maybe the long haul in the SP we are anticipating is not so long after all.
Like everything in life, nothing is certain.
