How is any of this at 'the expense of Australian shareholders'? I'm an Australian retail shareholder and I've done exceptionally well out of my Weebit holdings (and limited trades) over the last 6 years.
The option does exist to play the game in exactly the same manner as the institutional investors, especially as you say that their behaviours happens 'just like clockwork everytime' then, just like clocks, Australian shareholders should be able to predict or at least react the their behaviour to their own benefit.
So sick of the all the whining about the way the stock market actually works. Make it work for you!
