Coby has addressed this in recent interviews. Signing and qualifying with Skywater has given confidence to the other foundries on our hit list as it meant the technology was more proven. Weebit also uses Skywater for R&D at a lower cost than elsewhere.
Although disappointing that the Skywater signing and qualification hasn't materialised into more than this, it wasn't a waste of time and was nevertheless a step forward.
