" Samsung are also developing their own ReRAM, name 'Vertical ReRAM', project appears to have been shelved, over 1200 ReRAM patents. Samsung executive quoted 2015 they are less interested in ReRAM & PCRAM as they don't offer distinctive value.
Basically Samsung could build their own ReRAM tomorrow. But MRAM gives better performance.
Why would Samsung buy Weebit IP?
- Is Weebit ReRAM lower power than Samsung's ReRAM
- Is Weebit's ReRAM more dense than Samsung's ReRAM
- Is Weebit's ReRAM cheaperto buy than finish developing Samsung's ReRAM as an embedded product.
- Is Weebit's ReRAM cheaper than the fab costs of making Samsung's ReRAM
