Good perspective. However, I think bonus should always be conditional to measurable performance resulting in significant assessible achievement; sustained price hike could be one indication, amongst many. Why pay bonus to managers/directors whose performance doesn't add value. Let's not forget there's a gigantic distance between $2 and $8 that WBT shares were trading not long ago. So, may be the bonus should be paid if the stock is valued higher by the market proportionate to the bonus amount. If long term holders lose money on the a stock, it doesn't seem logical nor fair to dish out any bonus to those who are generously paid a monthly salary. Just a fair perspective.
