It seems as if there's been little attempt by the shorters to cover so far this week, its been only average volumes traded each day, and the shorting data suggests its still near ~8%. Either they cover next week (which seems unlikely given the volume they need to buy), or else they've already covered and/or the shorting data is inaccurate and unreliable. I guess we will know in a week or so where the shorters sit. I'm still getting the feeling the SP is being held back by shorters/manipulators, there always seems to be someone tapping the brakes every time it tries to head upwards.
