Red has a Mkt Cap of $578 M and when you add in the expected premium to be paid makes it too expensive when you compare the two operations.
And that is before you take into consideration Red's debt and ASIC problems. In today's market where the future price of gold is uncertain it would be folly for RMS to risk everything by "trying to bite off more than it can chew".
