just checked the report on who's decided to exit (resign)
Libs - youngest is 57 , oldest is 74
Labor - youngest 43, oldest 64
Livermore - 43
Roxon - 45
The trend line is very clear - so lets not fool ourselves, retire on top and let us pay for all your life long perks after you get wiped out at the next election - very sad but so Labor and that is what is making this country wheel spin - it has been wheel spinning for 7 years now. Nobody wants to invest in Australia with uncertainty and bad policy.
You know that feeling when your mates are 4 hours ahead of you at the pub, it is pointless even going as you will never catch up to the conversation style (dribble), that is how companies and investors view Australia, but in reverse, they are so far advanced and we are now so far behind it is not even worth having a look, please think macro on that point and not micro and remove our "dirt" out of the equation and you will see what I mean.
Hopefully a new government will take away the "gravy train" syndrome and make people value there jobs and not be on the take all the time with low productivity and endless sickies and compo claims.
We got to make change to ensure we remain globally competitive or we dead - the world is flat!
