Apart from the strong profits going forward from the oild and gas business (see splain's posts here for details)I'd say there's 2 reasons for price running.

1. Biodiesel - all the pieces are moving into place. If they really can make $4 mill a profit p.a. from each plant (as they believe) and they get 5 plants up and running in the next few years then prices beyoudn $1 would still be cheap.

2. There's supposedly a high profile type who's looking to join the board.

Re AMUOB's beign good value. Yes I've put my money where my mouth is - if there's soem realistic chance of biodesil getting up and running before these oppies expire in Nov 04 (and I certainly believe so) then the leverage here is massive.
