Seems the Unions are using it as a negotiation tactic to get more staff in.
Apparently the demand was through the roof compared to the Governments estimates.
"In an extraordinary letter sent to NSW Health boss Elizabeth Koff on Friday, the Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation NSW (ASMOF), representing 30 "fatigued" junior doctors"
"ASMOF said it had given the junior doctors its support if they chose to decline to provide medical care – except for extreme cases - to fully private patients."
