Even if Trumpet really is inclined to push rural broadband as part of the infrastructure program, and he wasn't just pandering to the particular audience, he still has to get the spending past the abominable no-men in the republican controlled congress, which is by no means a certainty. Rural broadband would play to a part of the republican base, so that may help, but there are folk on that side who think the only service the Federal government should provide is a defense force.

I hope I am wrong and the US government funds rural broadband big time, all for NTC's benefit.
