Their reserves are bigger than the debt. Russia is not only gas and oil. They are growing and modernizing at an impressive pace, considering the size of the country. The sanctions make them stronger, lots of what they used to import now they produce it themselves. They can look at the future with more confidence than say.. the USA, the only thing American politicians are interested is start wars somewhere or/ and overthrowing of elected governments. The USA doesn't want friends or allies, they only want vassals states. The whole world must serve and do what America wants...that's the world the US wants. No, thank you. Also this is 2019, not 1945 ! It's a different game and the players are very different from say.....Granada! Sadly America is slowly becoming a militaristic, one party, with fascist overtones and shades........."
