NoCrap : For clarity in the light of your over-reaction to my phrasing, as I used it, 'Anathema' = 'vehemently dislikes'. It is entirely possible that perceived US national interests can over-ride that dislike... no market is entirely a free one, but the US market is at the free-er end of the spectrum.
The point of my note was that there is no justification for blaming only the Saudis and their refusal to lower their production... there are many contributory factors that are causing the low POO.
