The USSR and Russia are two different entities with different political systems
As are Yugoslavia and Serbia
The USSR had an area of about 22.5 mill Km2 - Russia has about 17 mill Km2 - what a difference 5 Mill Kms makes
The USSR had a population of about 293 mill - Russia has about 144 mill - less than half

If 5 mill Km2 and 149 mill people don't make a difference don't make a difference - what does
