EU countries have mostly finished their frantic buying of gas now- their gas storeage facilities are, mostly, 95% full, to prepare them for the harsh European winter. Gas prices have fallen there, now, c.60%.
This 29.9.22 article from the highly regarded The Economist magazine warns, however, the energy crisis for the EU may be worse in the December 2023-February 2024 winter, cf the coming December 2023 winter.
