1.@Fox Investor who, 27.2.24 (re Australia agreeing to a request, from Ukraine, for donation of Australian thermal coal- which was then sent in 2022) said about this 2022 donation
"The government bought WHC coal, but entered into a swap arrangement whereby the physical coal that was sent to Ukraine and paid for by Australian taxes instead came from Poland" Can you please explain, in layman's terms, how such swap arrangements work?
It is expected further thermal coal requests will be made by Ukraine, pre their nthn. very harsh winters. Their thermal power stations etc. are being regularly & heavily attacked by Russian missiles.
2. Russia is the world's second biggest Ni exporter. The USA & UK banned all further, new Russian Ni deposits , from May 2024, into the LME (the world's biggest metal exchange). New Russian aluminium & copper was also banned.
