The EU, by unanimous decision of its 27 members, yesterday provided its biggest single economic (ie not military funding, or arms) contribution to Ukraine- 50b euro. This economic aid will assist Ukraine to resist the brutal Russian invasion.
Some MSM experts are claiming that the chances of Ukraine joining the EU are increasing.

If Russia's massive fossil fuels' resources are further excluded from democratic countries, this wll, eventually benefit WHC

Is this huge demonstration of support by the EU a precursor to a formal ban being introduced on Russia's large LNG exports (not currently banned), &/or further restrictions on Russian natural gas exports to the EU?

The Dail Mail D. Averre 2.2.24 said

"The sinking of the Ivanovets comes as European Council President Charles Michel this morning declared the 27 EU countries have sealed a deal to provide yet more aid to Ukraine, despite threats from Hungary to veto the move.

'We have a deal,' Mr Michel tweeted.

He said that all '27 leaders agreed on an additional 50 billion euro (£43 billion) support package for Ukraine within the EU budget'.

Mr Michel said the move 'locks in steadfast, long-term, predictable funding for Ukraine' and demonstrates that the 'EU is taking leadership and responsibility in support for Ukraine; we know what is at stake'.

They [EU] also agreed to make Ukraine a candidate for EU membership (my emphasis)...".
