If the Russian coal was any good or cheap enough to produce it would be number 1 in the suppliers list. Don't believe everything you read in papers....
We had our annual business update last week and overall the news wasn't good for Australian suppliers. Indonesia supply has dramatically increased which defies expectations from our marketing guys. They believe the Chinese are manipulating the market to teach Australia a lesson for 5G and ties with US. They believe that China is paying more than they need to poor quality Indonesia coal and going by this article Russian coal also.
Our site stockpiles are reaching capacity, our production has slowed and the story we are getting told is it is due to lack of trains to get it to the port. I struggle to believe that story, extra trains can be bought... i'm guessing we are having trouble selling the coal or more likely trying to starve the market to try to drive up the price by reducing supply. Our cost to produce is forecast to increase $2 to be $37 so there is still plenty of money to be made even at the low prices we get currently. Don't expect stellar results from anyone except the coking coal suppliers
Cola wouldn't be something I would be putting my money into just yet based off the political mind games being played out at top level and increased negative pressure from climate change hippies.
