    Who was going to stop Hitler in 1941? Britain, the Common Wealth, America. Not sure of the exact time line, so you might be right academically. What I am saying is making the comment today that Russia was facing the west in 1941 because Hitlers forces occupied much of Europe appears an exageration today. But this is neither here nor there.
