The Russian elite should listen carefully to what Putin is saying - “we will fight on and on regardless of the cost” - and think on what state Russia will be in after another year of this senseless war. Germany’s utter collapse in 1918 is the template for a nation getting progressively weaker due to a war which is rapidly draining coffers and bleeding a country white.
