Of all people Elon Musk is calling for government regulation of AI. This is because the progress is outpacing our control. He doensn't say it, but China seems to be the biggest operator. The technology that Russia has employed seems to have come from China. This has interfered in a systematic and massive way to destabilise democracies. The only thing they want right now is to stop the Western world from funding Ukraine in the war with Russia.
